Cooper launches Sany 16 tonne forklift
Our Specialised Handling division is pleased to announce the launch of the Sany SCP160G in the UK.
This 16t forklift is supplied from Sany Europe’s £100m port equipment manufacturing facility in Bedburg, Germany, and its introduction follows the release of the Sany reach stacker a few months ago.
We expect the machine to have wide appeal thanks to its very heavy duty build. It weighs in at more than two tonnes heavier than similar capacity forklifts, while the steel section is of a quality more usually seen on machines with a 25 or 28 tonne lifting capacity. All this adds up to a machine that can cope with the most arduous applications with ease.
What really stands out is the specification, because a range of options is included within the basic machine price. The SCP160G benefits from 12×24 tyres, instead of the standard 20 inch, which delivers improved ride and stability while also reducing wear. Other features include air conditioning, a Terminal West interchangeable fork system, a tyre pressure monitor and an electrically tilting cab.
In total, we estimate the value of these standard fit options to be around €39000.
We understand that Sany is now the only heavy lift truck manufacturer producing its own chassis and welded structures, which brings a key improvement in warranty terms.
Consider this enhanced warranty, along with the machine’s price, heavy duty build quality and extensive standard supply options, and the Sany 16t forklift is a real value proposition.
